Sydney’s beaches are beautiful to set your peepers on but don’t get these sirens of the natural world wrong — they will pull you under, mess up your hair and leave you choking with sand in your lungs — and that’s if you’re lucky.
If you feel like you have all the gear, but no idea or even if you love the ocean and want to ‘understand’ her more, this multi-award winning presentation is for you.
Learn how to tell what a dangerous rip looks like, what kind of swell foreshadows a storm and what makes that large, blue lady we call the ‘ocean’ tick. Does she just need a cuddle?
It’s presented by a surf scientist Dr. Rob Brander, yeah, that’s right, pretty cool, he studies, like, the waves man. This guy keeps miniature whales in test tubes for fun (maybe).
